Britain no longer values the truth
2025-01-10
Britain isn't failing because of bad migrants, a bad economy, or even a tough geopolitical atmosphere.
It's failing because the media-political establishment that runs the country no longer values the truth.
There is a litany of examples to illustrate this:
-
Insisting that all cultures and religions are equivalent in terms of wanting the same outcomes for humanity. FALSE.
-
Insisting that the continuing existence of multi-ethnic, multi-cultural people in the UK alongside each other automatically implies successful integration and assimilation. FALSE.
-
Insisting that importing millions of legal and illegal migrants from third-world cultural backgrounds in a short space of time will not adversely affect society or the economy. FALSE.
-
Insisting that industrial-scale rape gangs have little to do with specific cultures and can just be summed up as being part of general child sexual exploitation. FALSE.
-
Insisting that rape gang victims were largely responsible for their own trauma, and that the perpetrators were not at fault. FALSE.
-
Insisting that the rape gangs be called grooming gangs since it wasn't rape. FALSE.
-
Insisting that rape gangs be generically called Asian grooming gangs since specific ethnicities weren't over-represented. FALSE.
-
Insisting that any perceived criticism of ethnic minorities will be seen as bigoted and that ALL members of said group will feel offended since they must think and feel alike. FALSE.
-
Insisting that free speech cannot be allowed as it will lead to riots. FALSE.
-
Insisting that Ukraine can win the war against Russia and recapture its territory. FALSE.
-
Insisting that Israel isn't committing genocide in Gaza. FALSE.
-
Insisting that gender != sex, i.e. transwomen are women. FALSE.
-
Insisting (earlier) gender transitioning was a valid and safe medical treatment for kids under 18. FALSE.
-
Insisting that net-zero can be pursued without nuclear as the primary component, and that "Great British Energy" will result in lower energy prices. FALSE.
-
Insisting that DEI standards and hiring policies are the best way to help people from poorer socioeconomic backgrounds. FALSE.
-
Insisting that a DEI-focused hiring policy would not affect military combat capability. FALSE.
-
Insisting that the UK is still as globally powerful as before, both in economic and military terms. FALSE.
-
Insisting that the UK is a world technology epicentre rivalling the likes of Silicon Valley. FALSE.
-
Insisting that X is a far-right platform owned by a billionaire who intends to use it to subvert British democracy. FALSE, and laughably so.
The UK establishment (and both major political parties) has been arguing with reality for quite some time now, and continues to do so at the expense of the country.
It's become fashionable to bury one's head in the sand then to deal with hard problems. This reflects the faint-hearted people we seem to produce into positions of power and influence. And this in turn is a reflection of a degradation in our culture.
To quote Clint Eastwood, we’re really in a "pussy generation". He was talking about Gen-Z but I think it applies to people more broadly these days.
We desperately need to fix this if we are to prosper as a nation.
