You are the king!

- You are the king of your life. You are the king of your castle. You can think of your life as your kingdom. Your existence is your kingdom and you are the king or the queen of that existence. So you are the one who decides what that existence of yours, what that kingdom of yours is going to look like. Now you're going to have people around you, giving you advice all the time, telling you what you can do, what you can't do, what you can say, what you can't say, or, "Oh, you tried that, it didn't work out, "well maybe that's not what you're meant for, "you should try this instead." And you can listen to them, and you can think, "Hey, you know what, this person's right. "They care about me and their advice is pretty sound, "So maybe I should follow what they're doing." And maybe you should. There's no right or wrong answer. You could listen to what they're saying and do as they say or not listen to what they say, and do something different. It's up to you. But the key point to remember is this, they don't know who you're supposed to be. No one knows who you're supposed to be. Even you, might not know who you're supposed to be. Until you get to a point where you feel so strongly about wanting to be a particular type of person. This is especially important for people like me, who are obsessed with personal growth. Who want to grow, who want to improve themselves, be the best they can be. And have a vision for how they wanna be. When you're like that, when you're that sort of person. You're gonna go through a lot of frustrations because you're gonna be pushing yourself a lot. A lot of obstacles will come in your way. And when those things happen, sometimes you know, you need a shoulder to cry on, sometimes you wanna talk to people about it and sometimes people will tell you maybe you should try something different, maybe that's not what you're meant for. Maybe this isn't the path laid out for you. But they don't know that. They're trying to help you, or you'd hope. But they don't really know your future, they can't see your future. So they have no idea if what they're saying is true, they're just trying to be helpful. Only you can know what is true. So you're the king of the kingdom and these people are your advisors. But they don't get to be the king, or the queen, they don't get to rule, they don't have to make the decisions that actually matter at the end of the day. They can only tell you what they think. So you can, if you want, just ignore every advice you're given by everybody. Even what I'm telling you. You could ignore all of it and say, you know what I'm gonna do exactly what I wanna do because this is who I want to become and I don't care what other people say to me about this, whether they think I should become this, or they think I can or can't become this. No, I am gonna do this because this is my decision, I'm the king, this is my kingdom and I'm gonna make it happen this way. When Sylvester Stallone first wanted to make "Rocky", his movie, a lot of people told him, "You can't, it's not gonna happen, bro, you know "you don't have what it takes to be the star." And he proved them wrong, he just stuck with it and proved them wrong. And there's a video on YouTube where Tony Robbins talks about this, when he met Sly and Sly told him the story. I mean, there are so many examples like that in life. So many examples of successful people, who've been told at one point or another that they're not going to make it or they weren't suited for thing they wanted to do. And then they went out and proved people wrong. Now, if they had gone the other way and they had listened to his people, maybe they'd have become successful in some other area. So, it's not to say that listening to people and following their advice is gonna set you up for a worse future, maybe it's a better future subjectively speaking. The point is, that no one can actually think for you, no one can actually predict who you're supposed to be. Maybe you're supposed to be the greatest pianist ever. But maybe you suck at playing piano but you just love it so much, so you just gotta keep playing, you just have to keep playing and keep practicing, and maybe one day it'll all click. And then you're own inner-creativity, fused with that talent will create something magical. Nobody can predict if that's the case for you. No one can tell you that's not possible. Because no one knows the future. You're the king. You're the one who makes the decision. You can listen to the advice from all your advisors, but they're not the king and they'll never be the king in your kingdom. You will always be the king, so it's up to you.
